My belief is that promotion is more broad than a marketing campaign (think the four p’s). A marketing campaign is found within promotion. I was also assuming a campaign is a strategy of speaking to a particular segment within your target. Is this the case? What if, for example, you have marketing activities you are doing specifically for Christmas. Could this be the Christmas promotion within a wider campaign?

I have been in the business of medicine for 30 years and internet marketing for one month. Now most people don’t think of medicine as a business, but it is and that reality is even truer today than it was 30 years ago. As a physician, you can’t just hang your shingle and the patients will come and internet marketing is no different.

Some patients will come but they won’t return if you don’t give good service and treat them well. Of course, you have to help them get better. It is all about solving their problems. As I get more into this internet marketing business, I can see that the rules are very much the same

There are tons of free offers out there which tell you how to get high traffic to your internet business website if you just pay someone $47 or $29 or whatever and let them do the work and you just sit back and collect the checks.It is becoming increasingly obvious that you have to build your internet business with hard work and that takes time. When I started my medical practice 30 years ago, I went to courses to learn how to run a practice. I let someone who has been there teach me what to do. I am going to take courses in the internet marketing business as well.

So some of the tips I am learning are the same I have learned all my life.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. On the internet, you have to work hard to succeed. Don’t waste time and keep your eye on the prize just like the turtle and the hare. Add your own original touch to your business, but let someone teach you the basics.
